Music Night is a participatory community gathering where we come together through shared song, rhythm, movement, and silence.
We gather to listen, respond, and discover what wants to emerge. As sound, rhythm, movement, and silence begin responding to one another, a living conversation unfolds between the community and Spirit.
This monthly gathering is both an extension of the inner work within the Spirit House community and an open doorway for those who feel curious to step in and experience it.
Space is limited, so please reserve a spot.

EVENT DETAILS
WHAT TO EXPECT
Once we begin, we will start with a short introduction and breathing or toning exercises before opening the space with an invocation. We will then sit quietly until the first rhythm begins to emerge. There is no pressure to sing or move immediately. Listening, silence, and stillness are also meaningful forms of participation.
You may be invited to explore your voice through singing, humming, breath, tones, or other sounds. You are also encouraged to move or dance in response to what is unfolding. No musical experience is required unless you have been invited to help hold the rhythm section.
CONTAINER AGREEMENTS
To help us care for the shared musical and spiritual container:
Listen before adding your voice, movement, or rhythm.
Allow each song to reach its natural completion.
Honor the silence between songs. This silence gives us space to receive what was offered and listen for what may emerge next.
Join the collective expression rather than trying to lead or perform over it.
Stay aware of how your participation is affecting the whole.
Respect your own body, capacity, and boundaries throughout the gathering.
You are always welcome to pause, sit out, or participate quietly.
Those holding the primary rhythmic foundation will be designated in advance. Please do not bring personal instruments unless you have coordinated with the facilitators beforehand.
OPTIONAL DRUMMING CLASS
An all-levels drumming class begins at 5:00 PM before Music Night. This is a separate opportunity for anyone interested in building the skills needed to participate in the rhythm section for these gatherings. It is also a natural on-ramp for first-time attendees and anyone who would like time to warm up, connect with the rhythm, and settle into the space before Music Night begins. Register for the drumming class here.
WHAT TO BRING
A cushion, back jack, or other support for sitting comfortably on the floor
